Specialists from the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after Professor N. E. Zhukovsky (TsAGI) will conduct research to certify the wing of the SJ-100 aircraft. Testing will begin in 2025 after the final assembly of the mechanization.
The purpose of the upcoming research is to obtain data on the operational survivability and fatigue strength of the new Superjet's wing, as well as to confirm the design to current aviation standards. The wing will be subjected to numerous overloads to justify a resource of 54 thousand flights.
Institute specialists are currently performing design and survey work, after which engineers from PJSC "Yakovlev" will complete the installation of mounted units and the final assembly of the wing mechanization. During the tests they will confirm the strength of the wing structural elements to ensure further operation.
Such studies will provide an understanding of the behavior of the aircraft wing structure throughout its life cycle.
TsAGI engineers are involved in various scientific areas of aircraft development, including resource and strength tests, checking aeroacoustics, flight dynamics and aerodynamics. They also investigated air signal systems, determined aeroacoustic loads and methods for limiting vibrations of fuselage sections and mechanization elements.
To analyze the dynamic loading of the vessel's structure during takeoff and landing modes, a model of the SJ-100 aircraft was tested.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Superjet-100 arrived in Zhukovsky for certification tests. In total, it is planned more than 200 test flights for complete confidence in the safety of the aircraft.
