During the tests of the new import-substituted SJ-100 "Superjet" aircraft, the pilots shut down the PD-8 engines. Vadim Shirokikh, Head of the Flight Test Complex of the "Regional Aircraft" branch of PJSC "Yakovlev" (part of the United Aircraft Corporation), explained the essence of this experiment.
