Russia will showcase the new Il-114-300 regional import-substituted aircraft at the Wings India air show. The exhibition will be held in Hyderabad from January 28 to 31.
It is worth noting that Wings is a static event, and no demonstration flights are planned. However, potential customers can see the new aircraft "live".
In total, about 25 countries will participate in the air show, including the UAE, Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, and Cambodia. Representatives from Embraer, Thai Airways, IndiGo, Air India, Airbus, Boeing, HAL, and other leading aircraft manufacturers will showcase their products.
As a reminder, the Il-114-300 is a modernized version of the Il-114 turboprop aircraft, which will replace the outdated An-24, as well as the foreign Bombardier Dash 8 and ATR 72.
Independent aviation expert Alexei Zakharov warned that the serial production of the Il-114-300 may be associated with problems due to an un налаженной supply chain of components.
