Crew‑12 launch to ISS with cosmonaut Fedyaev postponed to February 12

The launch of the Falcon 9 launch vehicle from Cape Canaveral is delayed due to unfavorable weather

NASA and SpaceX have postponed the launch of the Crew-12 manned spacecraft with Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrei Fedyaev to the International Space Station (ISS) to the morning of February 12 due to unfavorable weather conditions. The launch is scheduled for no earlier than 5:38 am ET from the spaceport at Cape Canaveral, Florida.

The Crew-12 crew includes NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adenot, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrei Fedyaev. They are all quarantined at the Kennedy Space Center until the next launch opportunity.

SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft will be launched into orbit by a Falcon 9 rocket from launch pad 40. Live broadcast of the launch is scheduled to begin at 3:30 am ET. If successful, Crew-12 will arrive at the ISS at 10:30 am on February 13.

Crew-12 is a manned expedition to the ISS designed to deliver the crew and ensure the station's operation. Dragon is a reusable spacecraft from SpaceX, Falcon 9 is a launch vehicle with the possibility of partial reuse.
