Two 2TE25KM diesel locomotives delivered to Severstal

The locomotives are built from Russian-made components and assemblies

Bryansk Machine-Building Plant (BMZ, part of Transmashholding JSC) has delivered two 2TE25KM main freight diesel locomotives to Severstal (the largest mining and steel holding in Russia). The locomotives have already started operating at the Olenegorsk Mining and Processing Plant (Olkon). This was reported by the press service of Transmashholding JSC.

The contract for the supply of diesel locomotives was signed in June 2025.

2TE25KM diesel locomotives have been produced at the Bryansk Machine-Building Plant since 2014 and are made entirely of Russian components and assemblies.

The carrying capacity of the locomotive is up to 6,400 tons. It is equipped with diesel engines with a capacity of 2x2650 kW.

2TE25KM are widely used both in our country and abroad. Locomotives of this series are operated by Russian Railways, Kuzbassrazrezugol, Siberian Coal Energy Company, BaltTransService and others.
