On Friday, October 3, two pilots were killed in the crash of an An-2 plane in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This was reported by the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC).
The IAC has formed a commission to investigate the plane crash, and it has begun its work.
Aviation services clarified that the crashed " кукурузник " had been in operation for 53 years. It made its first flight in mid-October 1972.
The aircraft was produced in Poland. Immediately after that, it was transferred to Siberia, where it has been flying for all these years in various airlines. The plane has been with the "Борус" airline since July 2019.
The Eastern Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case regarding the emergency.
In December 2024, during a flight between the villages of Milkovo and Ossora in Kamchatka, an An-2 also crashed. There were three people on board, all of whom survived.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that ODK will provide round-the-clock maintenance of ПД-8 and ПД-14 for airlines.
