Rostec will be able to supply civilian aircraft to other countries in the future, but the domestic market is currently the priority, according to the general director of the state corporation, Sergey Chemezov.
According to him, domestic airliners will definitely find buyers abroad.
The components are entirely ours, and so is the production. We are more predictable, and we are known in the world as reliable partners who keep their word. For now, our priority is still the domestic market.
Chemezov noted that the main advantage of Russian aircraft is complete independence from imports.
The West is imposing more and more sanctions against various countries: Syria, Iran, China. There are occasional sparks even in relations between the US and the EU.
The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec) completed the assembly of the last prototype import-substituted MC-21 aircraft in the line at the end of July, and acceptance tests of the aircraft have begun.
Also, more than 20 import-substituted SJ-100 aircraft are in various stages of readiness.
