Russia is covering the distance in aircraft development much faster than its Western competitors. The "finish line" for the production of domestic MC-21, SJ-100, and Il-114-300 is near, according to Sergey Chemezov, head of the Rostec State Corporation.
According to him, the first deliveries of aircraft of all three types to airlines should start in 2026. Chemezov recalled that the work on creating such aircraft usually takes up to 15 years, but Russia managed to complete it much faster.
That is, in the era of globalization, no Western country has a full cycle of aircraft production. At the same time, in the world, the creation of a new aircraft or aircraft engine takes 10-15 years. And we, even taking into account the shifted "to the right" deadlines, are running this distance much faster.
The head of the state corporation emphasized that no aircraft corporation in the world can repeat this, anywhere and never.
The same Boeing is fatally dependent on its global suppliers. Its configuration involves 9 global suppliers, and in total - dozens of countries.
