The Komsomolsk-on-Amur Production Center (KNAAPO, part of PJSC Yakovlev) has improved the operation of the riveting machine. This was reported in the company's press service.
The winner of the annual competition was the company's employee Ivan Dedyushko. He created a rounded rubber tip on a 3D printer to provide support during riveting.
Previously, operators felt a strong vibration, which caused discomfort and contributed to fatigue. The new shock absorber significantly reduces the level of vibration, making work safer and more comfortable.
This is a prime example of how a proactive approach, engineering thought, and attention to detail from every employee make workplaces efficient and safe!
As a reminder, the assembly and testing of the SJ-100 aircraft with Russian PD-8 engines are underway in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
The first flight of a prototype of a fully import-substituted airliner took place here in August 2023. In 2025, the first flight was already made by a serial copy of this aircraft, built using the latest technologies.
Earlier www1.ru reported that additive technologies have been introduced in all PD-8, PD-14 and PD-35 engines.
