A new production of seamless small-diameter aluminum pipes has been launched at the Samara Metallurgical Plant, reports the "Made in Russia" portal. The section was deployed on the basis of a workshop that had been mothballed for about two decades.
The project is aimed at import substitution and providing the domestic industry with materials for the aerospace industry, shipbuilding and mechanical engineering. Thanks to the modernization, the plant will not only expand the range of products, but also create more than 100 new jobs — recruitment has already started.
Earlier it was reported that "Atomintelmash" — a Russian developer of industrial robotic solutions in the structure of the Rosatom State Corporation — equipped the "Machine-Building Plant" with an automated complex for pipe processing.
