Russia can earn very good money on the export of import-substituted Superjets to India. However, you should not immediately count the money that has not yet been received, because in such projects the Indian side traditionally takes very unhurried steps, the Tekhnosfera Rossiya publication warned.
Aviation experts noted that the assembly of SJ-100 fuselages in India and some percentage of their local components is a good option for local industry. After all, the rest will come from Russia, and this is already beneficial to the domestic industry.
However, we should not forget that the Indian side is famous for its slowness in all such projects. So you shouldn't immediately expect a rapid development of the story with the "localization" of our regional liner at the HAL plant.
Ivan Grachev, Chief Researcher at the Central Economic and Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, stated that the joint production of SJ-100 in India will strengthen Russia's position in the Asian aircraft industry market and help earn billions of dollars for the development of its own aerospace industry.
According to Indian estimates, the country will need about 2.2 thousand aircraft by 2035.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Superjet with PD-8 engines passed a rigorous test in Zhukovsky.
