The head of the CPRF party, Gennady Zyuganov, expressed deep concern about the state of the Russian aviation industry. According to him, all the planned programs, including MC-21-310 and LMS-901 "Baikal", were under threat of disruption.
Zyuganov recalled that in order to find out the reasons for the current situation, an audit has already begun of the spending of allocated funds in the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec).
If you look at aviation. Pay attention... All our aviation programs, from MC-21 to "Baikal", have been disrupted. Now they have sent an audit to check where the money went. We don't really check.
Zyuganov was particularly outraged by the lack of progress in creating a domestic light aircraft that can replace the An-2 " кукурузник ".
They can't make their own кукурузник in 20 years. This is a problem of management and responsibility.
New LMS-901 "Baikal" aircraft are being developed in Russia to replace the Soviet An-2, but turboprop machines have still not taken to the skies due to problems with aerodynamics.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia will invest 765 billion rubles in the project "Production of aircraft and helicopters".
