UEC starts designing aircraft engines using domestic software

CAD and PLM systems were developed by ASCON

The United Engine Corporation (UEC) has started using Russian software in the development of gas turbine power plants. More than 53.3% of operations are performed using Russian CAD and PLM software products.

UEC has also moved to the fourth stage of implementing particularly significant projects. The project to refine and implement a production and supply chain management system is 65.7% complete, noted Vyacheslav Khristolyubov, Director of Digital Transformation at UEC.

New versions of CAD and PLM systems were developed by ASCON. For managing various directories, designers use the Russian MDM system.

The latest Russian production and supply chain management system has already begun trial operation. The system allows managing production processes in a single digital space.

Among the main developments of UEC are PD-8 and PD-14 aircraft engines, designed for Superjet SJ-100 and MC-21-300 aircraft, respectively.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that UEC showed for the first time welding of aircraft engine parts using friction technology. This method reduces weight and increases the service life of power plants.
