Quality control units at "UEC-Saturn" joined the work as soon as the PD-8 engine creation project started in 2019.
We have developed quality requirements for the new product, including for partners – suppliers of materials and components. Specialists of the quality service daily monitor compliance with these requirements both at "Saturn and at other UEC sites to ensure the highest quality of products.
Petrov emphasized that the company applies modern approaches to building quality control processes. For example, special control of the first product for each part.
This allows us to be confident in the correctness of the manufacturing technology of absolutely any part both inside the enterprise and at suppliers. It is especially important that at all stages of the PD-8 engine creation we work closely with the aircraft manufacturer PJSC Yakovlev.
