The newest "Banderol" cruise missiles can now be carried, presumably, by heavy "Orion" drones. This was reported by military analyst Yuri Knutov.
According to him, "Orions" are also effective due to the use of a laser for target illumination. High-precision "Krasnopol" artillery shells, among others, are used against them.
There is unconfirmed data that the "Orion" drone was used as a carrier for "Banderol" cruise missiles. It should partially replace the more expensive Kh-101, but at the same time has better accuracy and maneuverability.
Initially, information appeared on the Web that "Banderols" are used by widely used Su-25 attack aircraft.
Official characteristics and application parameters have not yet been disclosed. Military analysts suggested that the length of the "Banderol" fuselage is about 5 m, and it was made with stealth elements. The wingspan of the retractable wing is 2.2 m. The fuel reserve is 50–65 kg, flight range — 500 km.
