The Mikoyan Design Bureau, which develops the MiG-35 fighter, participated in the preparation of digital documentation for the Tu-160M strategic missile carrier. This was stated by Yuri Abrosimov, General Director of Tupolev.
According to him, the implementation of the Tu-160 reproduction program required the creation of a fundamentally new unified digital environment. The Sukhoi and Ilyushin design bureaus were also involved in the preparation of the documentation.
The new production cooperation is also based on advanced enterprises within the OAK — all enterprises operate in a single digital information circuit, which allows for prompt tracking and implementation of necessary changes in production.
Abrosimov clarified that during the modernization of onboard systems, engineers applied modern approaches that allow increasing the functional capabilities of the systems and the aircraft as a whole without significant modifications.
Recall that the Mikoyan Design Bureau is developing the latest MiG-35 interceptor. The Ilyushin Design Bureau is famous for its series of Il-76 military transport aircraft, and the key novelty of the Sukhoi Design Bureau is the 5th generation Su-57 fighter.
