Detailed information has emerged about the new Russian cruise missile S8000 "Banderol". The military has begun to actively use it recently.
According to the specified characteristics, the product has a speed of 580 km/h, a flight range of 500 km and carries a 150-kg high-explosive fragmentation warhead OFBCh-150.
The carriers of this product are the Orion UAV, with the prospect of installation on Mi-28N helicopters.
The missile is equipped with a flight controller, an inertial navigation system module, a telemetry information exchange module and a jam-resistant CRP antenna of the "Cometa-8" type.
The missilediffers from all known Russian developments, including Onyx and Kalibr, and therefore may have components typical of jet UAVs.
