Three regional Il-114-300 aircraft have entered mass production in Russia. This was announced by Rostec.
The state corporation noted that the Il-114-300 model is in the final stage of flight certification tests.
Three serial production vehicles are currently in production.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated at a combined Q&A session and press conference on December 19 that the country needs aircraft for regional transportation.
The Il-114-300 is a modernized version of the Il-114 turboprop aircraft, and the aircraft will replace the outdated An-24, as well as the foreign Bombardier Dash 8 and ATR72.
Independent aviation expert Alexey Zakharov warned that the serial production of the Il-114-300 may be associated with problems due to an un налаженной supply chain of components.
At the same time, the Comprehensive Program for the Development of Civil Aviation indicates that Russia will build 51 units of the Il-114-300 by 2030.
