The St. Petersburg-based enterprise "UEC-Klimov" (part of the United Engine Corporation of the Rostec State Corporation) has created a combined modernized engine and propeller control unit for the TV7-117ST-01 aircraft engine. This was reported by the company's press service.
UEC-Klimov noted that the development ensures high reliability of the powerplant.
The TV7-117ST-01 is designed for the Il-114-300 aircraft, prototypes of which are successfully continuing flight tests. The TV7-117ST-02 modification will lift Ladoga passenger aircraft into the sky.
UEC noted that the turboprop engine has received improved characteristics - increased power and fuel efficiency, which is especially important for operation on regional routes.
The TV7-117ST-01 meets the most stringent safety requirements, which have been verified by repeated tests, the corporation concluded.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that 54.47 billion rubles were found for scientific work for the aviation industry.
