The company "Prisma" from Dimitrovgrad (Ulyanovsk region), using a preferential loan from the Industrial Development Fund (IDF), modernized production and began serial deliveries of high-tech automotive mirrors for the new Lada Iskra. This solution eliminates a key problem for automakers — a high percentage of defects in the manufacture of glass elements, which improves the quality and availability of components for the Russian automotive industry.
The essence of the modernization lies in the integration of a high-performance laser cutting section into the production line. Now the glass for mirrors is cut not by a mechanical cutter, but by a high-precision laser. As a result, the usual production defects for this operation were reduced by 6 times — from 30% to a record 5%.
Loans from the Industrial Development Fund are affordable investments and a kind of "springboard" for the development of production business. The latest technological equipment purchased with these funds has helped to make our products more high-quality, affordable and competitive, and has brought us closer to world standards.
The mirrors for Lada Iskra, developed by Prisma designers, are equipped with heating, electric drive and have improved visibility. The design also provides for the possibility of integrating additional equipment, such as rear-view cameras or blind spot sensors, which allows you to create different car configurations.
Investments in the modernization of production amounted to 38 million rubles, part of which — 15.4 million — was provided by the federal IDF, and another 6.6 million — by the regional fund. These investments have already paid off with the launch of mass production and a contract with AvtoVAZ.
Previously, in the production of mirrors, traditional methods of mechanical cutting and manual processing of glass led to the appearance of microcracks and chips. This not only increased the cost of the final product due to the high percentage of rejected parts, but also created a "bottleneck" in the production chain, limiting supply possibilities.
