The delegation of GosNIIAS paid a working visit to the Flight Research Institute named after M.M. Gromov (LII), where they got acquainted with the key objects of the experimental base — the leading center for flight tests in Russia.
Specialists of the institute, who are engaged in the creation of modeling complexes for studying promising technical solutions and testing aviation equipment, visited several important sites. During the tour, they were shown the equipment and workplaces of testers of the Il-76 flying laboratory, as well as modern flight simulators of the A.V. Fedotov Flight Test Pilot School.
A separate item on the program was a visit to the Flight Test and Refinement Complex of PJSC "Yakovlev". Here, the delegation saw prototypes of the MC-21, equipped with completely domestic systems, including PD-14 engines. The participants studied in detail the advanced technologies for conducting flight tests of passenger aircraft, the methods used, bench and airborne equipment.
