The chief designer of the LMS-901 "Baikal", Ivan Silin, noted that the aircraft had been modified, primarily in terms of the chassis. The changes affected the fuel system and control system.

Now the aircraft will be transferred for ground testing of the cable-onboard network, passing ground-frequency tests.

Also, experts changed the installation angle of the wing to eliminate the tendency to premature separation from the runway during takeoff in gusty winds. It is these changes that will be tested during further ground and flight tests.

In January 2026, it became known that UZGA had received an order for the first hundred LMS-901 "Baikal" aircraft. We are talking about leasing deliveries with state support.
