Users of the "Gosuslugi" portal can log in via the Max messenger. This was announced by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation. The new authorization method is in test mode, but will soon be available to everyone.
To receive one-time codes via Max, you need to follow a few steps:
- Log in to the "Gosuslugi" website from a computer. In the future, this function will also appear in the mobile version.
- A banner will appear on the website offering to connect a one-time code in Max.
- Select a device to receive the code and make sure that the Max messenger is installed on it.
- Specify this device as trusted on "Gosuslugi" by scanning the QR code on the screen.
- The "Verification Codes" chat will open in the Max application, where one-time codes valid for only one session will be sent.
Note that the access code to the Max messenger will only be valid in Russia, unlike foreign services.
It is important to note that you still need to use SMS to change your password and restore access. Users can change their security settings at any time in the "Security" section of their personal account.
