KamAZ has received Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS) for a new extreme modification of the C331−4E35-X1 all-wheel drive KamAZ-65954 fifth-generation truck tractor.
The curb weight of the 6×6 truck tractor is 13.2 tons. The weight of the semi-trailer that it can tow is about 86.6 tons.
The vehicle is designed to operate as part of super-heavy road trains weighing up to 100 tons. Under the hood of the modified truck tractor is a six-cylinder turbo diesel engine with a capacity of 560 hp, paired with a 16-speed gearbox.
The truck can be equipped with air conditioning, a pre-heater, an "autonomous" heater and additional fuel tanks. The list of options also includes a multimedia system with a touch screen, navigation and a refrigerator. It is also possible to install a power take-off box for driving the dump semi-trailer body.
