The number of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) involved in the development and production of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and their components has increased by almost 100 in a year. According to the SME Corporation, the total number of such enterprises in the country has reached almost 800.
Over the past 3 years, the number of UAS manufacturers among small and medium-sized businesses has more than doubled, from 352 to 793 companies. And over the past two years, the growth rate of SMEs in this segment has been at 15%, which is a high indicator.
According to Alexander Isaevich, the growth of UAS manufacturers is directly related to the increase in demand for drones. Now they are in demand not only by the military, but are also used to solve civil tasks — in monitoring forest fires and industrial facilities, in search and rescue operations and agriculture.
