Rosatom is counting on cooperation with Serbia in nuclear energy. This was stated by the Director General of the State Corporation at a meeting with the President of the Republic, Aleksandar Vučić, in Belgrade.
Likhachev and Vučić discussed the involvement of Serbian companies in Rosatom's foreign projects, as well as the training of Serbian students in Russian universities.
Currently, the Serbian leadership is considering the possibility of building the country's first nuclear power plant.
He emphasized that Rosatom offered Serbia "comprehensive cooperation." This will help the republic ensure energy sovereignty for many years to come.
The Russian State Corporation is the largest player in the foreign NPP construction market, as it occupies a share of more than 90%, Likhachev added. Rosatom is "ready to offer Serbia the entire range of its projects" in nuclear energy of various capacities, he summarized.
