Russian company Cognitive Pilot has launched mass production of fully autonomous robot tractors and agronomist robots for agriculture.
The equipment operates without the internet or navigation, using only AI vision. In its first year, autopilot tractors have already cultivated 2.3 million hectares of fields, reducing crop losses by 30–35% and increasing productivity by 20%.
The agronomist robot analyzes the condition of crops in real time: determines the size, moisture content, and damage to plants, builds yield maps, and adjusts agricultural operations. Its neural networks have been trained for 7 years on data from fields in Russia, Belarus, and South Africa. The key innovation is the CognitiveNet architecture, which accelerates learning by solving tasks in parallel (recognizing obstacles, field boundaries, etc.).
All equipment is assembled from Russian components at the Cognitive Pilot factory in Tomsk. Tractors are particularly in demand in southern regions, where GPS signals are often jammed. The agronomist robot will help increase yields in areas of risky farming.
