The company «Power Machines» has completed the production of the GTE-170.1 gas turbine. The equipment has successfully passed factory tests at the site of the Leningrad Metal Plant. Now the equipment is being prepared for transportation for installation at the Khabarovsk CHP-4.
The assembly stand became the place for the final check of the unit. Engineers launched the turning gear and checked the rotation of the rotor. All stages of the control tests were completed normally. Representatives of the customer, PJSC «RusHydro», observed the process. After signing the acts, the turbine will be packed and sent to the Khabarovsk Territory.
The new station is being built as part of a state program for the development of thermal energy in the Far East. Khabarovsk CHP-4 should replace CHP-1, which has been operating for 70 years. The old site remains the largest in the region, but its resources are exhausted.
A combined cycle gas turbine technology will be used at the new facility. Natural gas will be used as fuel. The design capacity of the station will reach 410 MW of electrical and 1389 Gcal/h of thermal energy. Two high-capacity turbines will be required for full load. «Power Machines» will not only supply the equipment, but also monitor the installation and commissioning.
The launch of CHP-4 will help close the energy deficit in the unified power system of the Far Eastern Federal District. The station will provide growing loads and create a base for the development of the region.
