The Aurus plant in Yelabuga has started assembling prototypes of the updated Aurus Senat sedan, the flagship model of the Russian luxury brand.
The company reported that engineers and technologists are currently working on new production operations and modernized assembly processes. These cars will be the first samples of the updated version of the flagship sedan.
The next stage is a series of tests, multi-stage technical control and refinement of individual structural elements. In parallel, the brand is preparing updates for the exterior design of the cars. In particular, Aurus plans to add new limited-edition body shades to the catalog of branded colors.
Some technological operations take place at the industrial partner's site, the Sollers plant. There, they perform welding and painting of bodies, grinding and high-precision polishing of parts to a mirror shine.
Aurus emphasizes that luxury cars by definition remain an exclusive product. Limited editions and a high level of execution are part of the brand's strategy.
The Aurus family is based on the Unified Modular Platform developed by specialists from FSUE "NAMI". This architecture is used for the entire line of the brand's cars.
After the completion of the tests, the updated Senat may move on to the next stage of development and further expansion of the Aurus model range.
