A hangar complex for MS-21 maintenance will soon be built at Koltsovo Airport in Yekaterinburg. The project is being implemented by the air harbor and "Ural Airlines," announced the Department of Information Policy of Sverdlovsk Oblast.

The new hangar will be needed for aircraft repair and diagnostics, as well as for maintaining their airworthiness.

This will allow maintaining the airworthiness of aircraft, performing their repair and diagnostics, which meets the objectives for the development of the domestic fleet.

Preliminary, the project cost will be about 10 billion rubles.

Earlier it became known that "Ural Airlines" is considering purchasing the first batch of Russian medium-haul MS-21s, but they are far from being first in line after "Aeroflot".

Serial production and the first deliveries of the MS-21 passenger aircraft to airlines are officially scheduled for 2027.
