Construction of ferries for transporting agricultural machinery along rivers in Yakutia continues at the Zhatay Shipyard. The enterprise will deliver one small-tonnage vessel to the customer and send the second one by the end of the navigation season. This became known during the visit of the State Assembly of the Republic of Sakha delegation to the shipbuilding enterprise.

Vlad Pemyakov, director of the Zhatay Shipyard, stated that the leadership of several uluses (districts) expressed interest in purchasing ferries.

There is a demand for them in almost all districts. We are ready to launch them into mass production and offer them to all central uluses.
Vlad Permyakov, Director of Zhatay Shipyard

According to Permyakov, the shipyard is involved in various areas. In particular, Yakut shipbuilders have now begun manufacturing a collapsible automobile bridge for Churapchinsky Ulus. It is expected that the republic's government may place a large order for 30-35 such bridges. In addition, the enterprise has developed a project for a 20-meter landing stage and is preparing to assemble the first prototype.

The Zhatay Shipyard resumed operations in the spring of 2025 after reconstruction. In October of the same year, the enterprise launched its first non-self-propelled small-tonnage ferry. Its length is 20 m, width is 6 m, and carrying capacity is 40 tons. The vessel was transferred for operation to Suntarsky Ulus.
