The Aeroflot Group has completed the first three repairs of CFM56-5B aircraft engines for Airbus A320ceo aircraft. All work was carried out by specialists from AeroTrustTechnics.
The carrier's press service noted that engineers restored the high-pressure compressor stator and rotor.
Upon completion of the work, the company issued the first component airworthiness tags in its history. The document confirms the airworthiness of the aircraft engine after maintenance and repair.
Aeroflot noted that the company is expanding its expertise in the repair and maintenance of aircraft engines. This practice may extend to external customers.
Earlier it became known that Aeroflot received the FAP-145 certificate, which expands the group's technical capabilities in the repair of CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B engines, as well as their components.
As a reminder, Aeroflot will be the first recipient of the new MC-21-310 medium-range aircraft. The head of the company, Sergei Alexandrovsky, stated that the carrier increased the order to 200 aircraft.
