The Kazan Aviation Plant (KAZ, part of PJSC "Tupolev", United Aircraft Corporation of Rostec) has not received a single contract for the supply of Tu-214. This was reported by a source of "Business Online".
The publication noted that Aeroflot had finally abandoned the Kazan aircraft. The widely publicized story in the media with the plans of S7 airline has so far remained only intentions.
Tupolev disrupted Tatneft's order, and arbitration proceedings are now underway.
The source added that KAZ also failed to achieve the construction of its own composite and foundry production facilities.
In addition, KAZ could not even increase production volume. In recent years, only one Tu-214 aircraft with tail number RA-64535 has been delivered. RA-64536 is being prepared for transfer to the flight test station.
Aviation expert Roman Gusarov stated to "Perviy Technicheskiy" that the Tupolev bureau has done too little for the development of the Tu-214 in the last 30 years remained in the 90s, the Tu-214 aircraft was sentenced, therefore, new aircraft should not be expected.
