In Kazan, 77.9 million rubles will be allocated for the construction of an enterprise for metalworking and slipway assembly of aircraft at the location of the A. N. Tupolev Scientific and Metrological Center of KAI. The corresponding tender was published on the public procurement website.
The project is financed from extra-budgetary funds of the university - grants.
The decision to create a laboratory for metalworking and assembly devices for assembling aircraft units was made as part of cooperation with the Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA). The purchase is carried out as part of the implementation of the Advanced Engineering School.
The work must be completed by August 31, 2026. The customer is the Kazan National Research Technical University named after A. N. Tupolev (KNITU-KAI), specializing in training personnel for the aviation and rocket and space industries.
The university is a key supplier of qualified personnel for PJSC "Tupolev" and its branch - the Kazan Aviation Plant named after S. P. Gorbunov (KAZ).
In addition, KAI and PJSC "Tupolev" have entered into a cooperation agreement, which strengthens cooperation in scientific and educational areas.
