Russia overtook the United States and China in the production of aircraft engines for fighter jets

According to him, this refers to the production of powerplants from the AL-41, AL-31 and AI-222 series.

We produced more than anyone else in the world, more than everyone combined. We produced more than America, more than China.
Aleksandr Grachyov, CEO of ODK

First on his list, Grachyov pointed to the AL-41, which was specially created for fifth-generation fighters. It is now also installed on the Su-35S of the \"4++\" generation. The engine allows the aircraft to fly at supersonic speed without using afterburner.

The AL-31F is the \"workhorse\" of the fourth generation for the Su-27, Su-30 and Su-34. The AI-222 is intended for Yak-130 combat trainer aircraft.
