The Demikhovsky Engineering Plant in the Moscow region (DMZ, part of the Transmashholding group) has launched the production of highly localized electric trains and created a new center of competence for the production of traction gearboxes. This was reported in the press service of Transmashholding.
The plant received a loan of 1.45 billion rubles. The company purchased modern processing centers and heat treatment complexes. This ensured the modernization of production lines.
Now the plant produces fully Russian components for electric trains of the EP2DM and EP3D models, as well as gearboxes for electric trains of the Ivolga 4.0 type.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian Railways and CPPC launched innovative trains with increased capacity and speed.
