These are not the first problems with the An-2 recently. In October, two pilots died in a plane crash in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. In December 2024, another "Kukuruznik" crashed in Kamchatka, three people on board survived.

Honored Test Pilot of the Russian Federation, Hero of Russia Alexander Garnaev, in an interview with "The First Technical", stated that attempts to replace the An-2 have failed. He pointed out that the creation of the LMS-901 "Baikal" has not yet brought success.
