An image of the cockpit of the export Su‑34ME, intended for the Algerian Air Force, has appeared online. Recall that Algeria became the first export customer for Su‑34ME fighter-bombers: the contract provides for the supply of 14 aircraft.
The photo shows the usual layout of the Su‑34: two seats for the crew are located side by side, and not in tandem. This arrangement provides more effective interaction between the pilot and the weapons operator, which is especially important for a strike aircraft. The cockpit is equipped with modern multifunctional displays that display tactical and navigation information, as well as the status of all aircraft systems.
Particular attention is drawn to the armored capsule of the cockpit: titanium panels with a thickness of about 17 mm increase the survivability of the crew in combat conditions. For long flights, there is a rest area: the crew can stand to their full height, there is a sanitary unit and equipment for heating food.
Experts note that the export version of the Su‑34ME for Algeria retains the high quality of the original machine, but is adapted to local requirements, including enhanced electronic warfare systems and additional onboard sensors.
It also became known that Rosoboronexport expects a large potential for export sales of theSu-30SME fighter.
Earlierwww1.ru reported that Rostec anticipates an increase in orders for the latest Yak‑130 light interceptor.
