At the Dubai Airshow 2025 international air show, the Sukhoi company officially presented a model of the unmanned version of the single-engine Su-75 Checkmate fighter. The new model of the combat aircraft differs significantly from the manned version.
The main difference between the LTA and the manned Su-75 is the redesigned aerodynamics. The unmanned version has a wing area increased by 5-8%.
The shape of the transitions to the fuselage is now smoother, which provides the possibility of increasing the payload and better lift. The rear of the fuselage has also been redesigned, which has improved the stability of the aircraft at supersonic speeds.
The LTA is positioned by the Sukhoi Design Bureau as a light single-engine low-observable multi-purpose fighter for export. The unmanned Su-75 is equipped with a ductless supersonic DSI air intake with a characteristic "hump", adapted for speeds exceeding Mach 1.8.
Rosoboronexport CEO Alexander Mikheev noted that interest in the Su-75 remains in the countries of the Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions. Russia plans to build the Su-75 Checkmate jointly with Belarus.
