PD-14 in the Sky: Engine's Normal Operation Confirmed at All Stages of MC-21-310 Flight

In the air, the aircraft engine reliably operated in all modes, from low throttle to takeoff power

The first flight of the second fully import-substituted MC-21 aircraft, equipped with domestic PD-14 engines from the United Engine Corporation of Rostec, became a key event for the Russian aviation industry. Fedor Mironov, Deputy Director for Sales at UEC of Rostec State Corporation, confirmed that the PD-14 engine demonstrated stable operation.

Telemetry data recorded optimal operating parameters, no deviations, and stable temperature conditions. The successful completion of the tests opens up new horizons for the integration of the PD-14 into promising aviation complexes.

Earlier, during an extensive program of ground and flight tests, full compliance with technical requirements for thrust, fuel consumption, and weight and size characteristics was confirmed.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that plasma research on the ISS will become the basis for the development of new engines at MAI.
