Updated Courier robotic systems (HRTK) with a fiber optic coil, which can replace satellite control, have begun to enter the Russian army, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The modernization will improve communication reliability and resistance to enemy electronic warfare, as the fiber optic cable provides a secure data transmission channel that is not susceptible to jamming.
The Courier ground robotic system (HRTK) is a remotely controlled tracked vehicle that can carry cargo or serve as a platform for weapons. Depending on the load, the HRTK can be a transport or combat vehicle.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that heavy drones Zvezda and Solntse, developed by the Russian military, were shown on the Web.
