Россия вводит «углеродные» нормы для МС-21 и SJ-100, но летать самолётам не на чем

The Ministry of Economic Development demands emission reductions, but the country does not produce SAF fuel

From 2027, Russian airlines will be required to maintain "carbon reporting" and comply with international CO₂ emission standards, and from 2031, compensate for exceeding them. The new draft law from the Ministry of Economic Development effectively equates Russia to the CORSIA program adopted by ICAO.

But the key problem is different — there is no production of environmentally friendly SAF-class fuel in the country.

Even modern MC-21 and SJ-100, designed with an eye on export, will not be able to meet the new standards without switching to synthetic fuel, which simply does not exist in Russia. Gazprom Neft is only testing technologies so far, but it is far from industrial scale.

Experts have warned that airline costs will increase, and with them, ticket prices.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Kazan Aviation Plant will increase capacity for serial production of the aircraft.
