The capacities of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of the Rostec State Corporation) are ready to fully meet the needs of domestic carriers for aircraft. This was stated by Vadim Badeha, General Director of UAC.
Our capacities are fully ready to fulfill the request that exists in the market.
At the same time, Rosaviatsia warned that within five years the aircraft fleet in Russia couldbe reduced by 539 aircraft and helicopters at once. In order to prevent the situation from turning into a "dive", the agency came up with new measures to maintain the airworthiness of the aircraft.
Against this background, a statement was made by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov, about the upcomingrevision of the comprehensive program for the development of the country's aviation industry (CPGA). The current version of the CPGA, calculated for implementation until 2030, involves the supply of 990 aircraft to airlines for the needs of civil aviation.
In addition, the authorities' decision to reduce funding for the development of the aviation industry by 30% actuallydestroys aviation science, said Yuri Zakharchenko, Executive Director of the RKK-Nauka trade union association.
