The earliest successful completion of the certification tests of the MC-21-310 airliner has become a key task for the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec). This was stated by the General Director of UAC Vadim Badekha.
According to him, at the same time, the corporation is focused on ensuring that the new aircraft enter regular flights as soon as possible.
In this regard, in parallel with the development work, UAC has organized a serious large-scale program to prepare production. The cooperation involves not only the Irkutsk Aviation Plant, but also hundreds of aviation industry enterprises throughout Russia.
Today, a massive investment program has been implemented at all enterprises. These are thousands of machine tools, hundreds of thousands of square meters of new space. And simultaneously with the tests, we have seen today that the serial production of new machines has already been launched in full swing, so that immediately after receiving the type certificate, we can give our airlines, our passengers, our citizens airplanes to the line.
While the serial production of the MC-21 is only being prepared, Russia is already building factories to supply the aircraft with spare parts. For example, a new production of curved composite panels-blanks for the interior of the MC-21 has been organized in Ulyanovsk.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Il-114-300 will receive a certificate only in 2026.
