Vladimir Putin, Minister of Defense Andrei Belousov, and Deputy Minister of Defense Yunus-Bek Evkurov arrived at the Mulino training ground in the Nizhny Novgorod region, where the main phase of the Zapad-2025 exercises unfolded.

The Russian leader was dressed in a field uniform without shoulder straps, but with patches "President of the Russian Federation", "Putin V. V." and chevrons with the tricolor and double-headed eagle.

The goal of the Zapad-2025 military exercises is to practice protecting the Union State of Russia and Belarus in the event of a threat.

The President inspected the exposition of equipment and weapons, accepted the report of the Minister of Defense and thanked foreign observers.

The head of state got acquainted with the hybrid tactical motorcycle of increased cross-country ability "Bulldog" (with a maximum speed of 55 km/h and a range of up to 70 km).

After that, he studied the enduro class motorcycle "Kayo-T4" (with an engine capacity of 271 cubic cm and a power of 24 hp) for assault groups.

The Russian leader also looked under the hood of the Sarmat-3 all-terrain vehicle and the Ulan-U2 car, inspected the interior of the Buran-10 command vehicle of the assault battalion (there he was told about the domestic software used at the front).

During the Zapad-2025 exercises, about 100,000 military personnel were involved, who underwent training at 41 land and sea training grounds. The exercises also involved 333 aircraft, 247 ships and about 10,000 units of various equipment.
