Specialists from "Yakovlev" conducted successful tests to measure the change in pressure on the wing surface and wing deformation in flight, reported Mikhail Sagaydak, leading specialist of the aerodynamic characteristics department, and his colleague Vladislav Tyurin, leading flight test engineer - on-board operator.
The company emphasized that the tests were successful.
The aircraft was equipped with systems for distributing pressure over the surface and systems for measuring wing deformation in flight.
Yakovlev clarified that the purpose of the tests was to validate calculation methods for determining the flight twist of the wing and using the data obtained for designing new aircraft.
