Work continues at the KamAZ automobile plant to rebalance the main assembly lines (MAL). The company's automobile plant believes that this will ensure an assembly rate of 240 vehicles per day.
Miroslav Roubykh, Deputy Chairman of the Production System Development Committee for New Vehicles, said that achieving these indicators is within the power of car assemblers. However, it is important to create conditions for stable work at this pace.
A team of consultants, together with representatives from the logistics center, plant technologists, planning and dispatching services, and production workers, conducted a time study of the assembly of the entire model range on the MAL and identified a number of bottlenecks.
Some of them are related to the technology of vehicle assembly processes — the operations for installing some components and assemblies did not fit into the time allotted for them. Another reason for the loss of time is the search for the necessary parts and components located along the conveyor.
