The new extra-large KamAZ-6292 articulated electric bus traveled more than 1.3 thousand km and transported 2.6 thousand passengers on the roads of Moscow during 5 days of testing. This was announced by the General Director of SUE "Mosgortrans" Nikolai Asaul.
According to him, passengers noted a high level of comfort and smooth running, and drivers expressed a desire to switch from diesel "accordions" to environmentally friendly electric buses.
Asaul named the advantages of KamAZ-6292:
- Increased power reserve. On a single charge, the electric bus travels about 135 km, therefore, it needs only 3 charges per day.
- Ease of maintenance. Specialists do not need to check the level of technical fluids.
- Less noise
- Smooth running
- Environmental friendliness and comfort.
Features of the KamAZ-6292 bus:
- Power reserve on one charge — up to 135 km
- Length — 18.7 m
- 47 seats, 2 seats of increased area
- Climate system, electric heaters in the cabin
- Platform for strollers and bicycles
- Folding ramp, call buttons for passengers with limited mobility
