Russia will have an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Development Center, which will systematize and scale technological solutions. The corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the Government of the Russian Federation. The center's work will be coordinated by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko.
The main tasks of the center are the selection and replication of successful AI-based solutions, methodological support, and synchronization of the efforts of the state, business, and regions.
The introduction of AI into the economy, social sphere, and public administration is already having an effect today. We face the task of ensuring that the results of the introduction of artificial intelligence are available to all Russians, and that our country increases its competitiveness in world markets through the development of modern technologies. The center is being created to coordinate the efforts of all participants in the process of developing AI technologies in Russia.
From 2025, Russia will implement the national project «Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State», within the framework of which federal bodies and regions are developing their own programs for AI integration. The new center will operate as a nationwide project office based on the Analytical Center under the Government.
