The Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced a tender for expanding the operational characteristics of the Mi-38 and Ansat-M helicopters. This is reported on the public procurement website.
The total budget of the projects will amount to 5.7 billion rubles, and the work must be completed by December 2027.
For Ansat, the key modernization tasks include the introduction of an anti-icing system, an increase in take-off weight to 3800 kg, and the replacement of foreign components. The contract amount is 3.95 billion rubles.
In parallel, the development of the domestic VK-650V engine is underway, which will replace the Canadian Pratt&Whitney. The first flight with the new engine will take place in April 2024, and serial deliveries will start in 2026.
The Mi-38-2 will receive updated units of the rotor system and transmission. 1.76 billion rubles will be allocated for these purposes. The helicopter has already received domestic TV7-117V engines, but the program provides for increasing the service life of key components.
Earlier www1.ru reported that an innovative principle was introduced at the Ilyushin aircraft factory for the production of parts for the MS-21 aircraft.
